No — and that's the whole point! By booking direct with Springfield Stays, you skip the 14–16% service fee that Airbnb charges guests. You pay only the nightly rate, cleaning fee, and applicable taxes. That savings can add up to hundreds of dollars on a multi-night family trip.

Full refund if cancelled 14 or more days before check-in.
50% refund if cancelled 7–14 days before check-in.
No refund if cancelled fewer than 7 days before check-in.

Absolutely — kids are very welcome! Both homes are set up with families in mind. We provide a travel crib, board games, and Roku TVs. The State House has a lovely back patio with a fire pit that kids love, and The Mac House is right next to Washington Park. Please note that children count toward the maximum guest limit of 10.

Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate pets at either property. We appreciate your understanding — this policy helps us maintain the homes in top condition for all guests.

Yes! This is one of our favorite scenarios. If you're planning a large family reunion, multi-family vacation, or group trip, you can book both The State House and The Mac House simultaneously. Together they sleep up to 20 guests across 8 bedrooms. Just book each property separately on this website, or contact us and we'll help coordinate.

Yes — both properties offer free parking.

The State House: Driveway parking plus street parking available.
The Mac House: Free parking in the rear of the property.

Payment is processed securely by Stripe — the same platform used by millions of businesses worldwide. Your card details are never stored on our servers. After payment, you'll receive an instant booking confirmation by email with your confirmation code and check-in details.

The cleaning fee covers professional cleaning of the entire property between guest stays, including laundering all linens and towels. We ask that guests leave the property in a reasonably tidy condition (dishes washed or in the dishwasher, trash in bins). Excessive cleaning may result in additional charges.
